ATAK (1967) je priznani nemški vizualni umetnik, pravi umetniški multipraktik, ki od samih začetkov svoje ustvarjalne poti igrivo prehaja meje med različnimi mediji. Ob tem vseskozi ostaja zvest lastni avtorski poetiki in živahnemu eklekticizmu, v katerem se križa neskončno vplivov in referenc iz sveta stripa, vizualne umetnosti, filma, literature in še kje. Leta 1989 je v Berlinu soustanovil avantgardno stripovsko skupino in revijo Renate ter v 90. letih objavil več samostojnih stripovskih izdaj, danes pa je dejaven predvsem na področju ilustracije. Je tudi strasten raziskovalec in zbiratelj najrazličnejšega gradiva, ki sega od stripovskih originalov do »fan arta« in ljudske umetnosti.

ATAKova razstava v Slovenskem etnografskem muzeju bo predstavila vsestranskost in širino njegovega dojemanja umetnosti ter bo posvečena dvema kultnima stripovskima junakoma, Dicku Tracyju in Tintinu, ki ju ljubiteljem devete umetnosti najbrž ni treba podrobneje predstavljati, obeta pa se tudi avtorjevo vodstvo po razstavi.

ATAK, vsestranski berlinski vizualni umetnik, se v Slovenskem etnografskem muzeju predstavlja z razstavo, posvečeno stripovskima junakoma, detektivoma, ki sta igrala pomembno vlogo pri njegovi umetniški formaciji: to sta noirovski Dick Tracy ameriškega avtorja Chesterja Goulda in pustolovski Tintin belgijskega stripovskega klasika Hergéja. Razstava predstavlja eklektičen zvarek avtorskih del, arhivskega gradiva ter t. i. fan art umetnij – gre za raznoliko zbirko del, ki so jih ustvarili oboževalci Tintina in Dicka Tracyja po vsem svetu. Na ogled bo večje število ATAKovih predelav znamenitih stripovskih zgodb in naslovnic publikacij, pa tudi originali Chesterja Goulda iz ATAKove osebne zbirke.

Razstava tako ponuja novo branje stripovskih klasikov in omogoča sveže podoživljanje dogodivščin znamenitih junakov, posredno pa obravnava tudi fenomen zbirateljstva in vprašanje identifikacije s fenomeni popularne kulture.

Po razstavi Fan Art. Kako biti detektiv?, ki je posvečena dvema kultnima stripovskima junakoma, Dicku Tracyju in Tintinu, nas bo popeljal njen avtor, priznani nemški vizualni umetnik ATAK. Iz prve roke boste lahko izvedeli več podrobnosti o projektu in avtorjevem ustvarjanju, pa tudi o njegovi zbirateljski strasti in zbirki t. i. oboževalske umetnosti (fan art), katere del je, ob boku ATAKovim lastnim stvaritvam, tokrat prvič na ogled tudi v Ljubljani.
