Marc-Antoine Mathieu je priznani francoski stripar in scenograf. Na področje stripa je zakorakal leta 1987, ko je z bratom Jeanom-Lucom izdal svoj prvi album Paris-Mâcon. Dve leti pozneje je začel ustvarjati svojo večkrat nagrajeno črno-belo serijo o uslužbencu Ministrstva za humor, Juliusu Corentinu Acquefacquesu, ki je do zdaj izšla v šestih knjigah in v kateri, tako kot v večini njegovih del, najdemo sledi Kafke, Borgesa, astrofizika Huberta Reevsa, pa tudi morasto atmosfero filmov Davida Lyncha. Njegova pomembnejša dela, med katerimi so številna nagrajena, so še ROM (Mémoire morte), Risba (Le Dessin), Bog osebno (Dieu en personne) in 3 sekunde (3 Secondes). Mathieu je izjemno plodovit in inovativen avtor, ki se odlikuje po tem, da z vsakim novim delom razširi meje žanra, kar mu uspeva z izjemno kombinacijo intelektualne teže in izrazitega smisla za igrivost. Ljubljano bo obiskal kot gost domače založbe VigeVageKnjige, pri kateri je konec lanskega leta izšel prevod njegovega dela OTTO, uzrti človek.

Ob obisku Marca-Antoina Mathieuja v Ljubljani pripravljamo debato o njegovem doslej edinem prevedenem delu, risoromanu OTTO, uzrti človek. Izhodišče dogajanja v knjigi je nenadno občutje notranje praznine, ki zajame glavnega junaka Otta Spiegla sredi enega od njegovih nastopov. Odloči se prekiniti svojo kariero in se posvetiti raziskovanju svoje preteklosti, da bi spoznal, kdo pravzaprav je. Tem, ki jih ponuja Mathieujev risoroman, je na tone, in vse so povezane z doživljanjem posameznika in njegove vloge v aktualnem času.

Na debati sodelujejo: Marc-Antoine Mathieu (avtor risoromana OTTO, uzrti človek), Miran Pustoslemšek (psihiater),
Saša Tabaković (igralec), Anja Golob (moderatorka in glavna urednica založbe VigeVageKnjige).
