For her debut Alltid fucka up (Goblin Girl), which will also be published in Slovenian via Stripolis, she received the renowned Eisner Award for Best U.S. Edition of International Material last year. In the graphic novel, she uses expressive yet stylized drawing to tell an autobiographical story about a twenty-something-year-old’s confrontation with herself and the world, days of aimless lounging, parties and drug experimentation, and how a bizarre Tinder affair with an older TV star helped her out of the black hole of anxiety and depression in a very unexpected way.

A selection of the author’s digital artworks will be presented at the exhibition at the Zorica bar. The exhibition in the Zorica bar will present a selection of digital artworks by Moa Romanova, a rising star of Swedish comics. The pages from her debut novel Goblin Girl, which has just been translated into Slovenian, will be on display. In the comic book, Romanova uncompromisingly records the intimate feelings, adventures and questions of her generation, as well as the challenges of the present times, through gnarled, stylized drawings in ice-cream colours. An honest, fresh, convincing comic art script and drawing by one of the most piercing representatives of the new generation!
