This year, for the first time, Tinta is hosting a comics artist as part of a three-week residency programme! In Ljubljana, young Latvian artist Vivianna Maria Stanislavska will create a new comic book zine for the festival, In Bloom, in which she wryly looks into the intimate world of plant coexistence. She will debut it at a solo exhibition at the DobraVaga Gallery.

The artist’s works are a mixture of black humour, “silly” everyday situations and more serious topics. She publishes comics in anthologies and magazines such as kuš! and Stripburger as well as elsewhere, and she has also illustrated several children’s books.
