French comic artist and illustrator Simon Ecary will reveal the sources of inspiration behind his creative practice – from vintage comics and picture books to niche forms of creativity such as QSL cards. These “miniature postcards” were historically used for exchanging data between amateur radio operators, while also serving as a space for playful, free-spirited, and witty visual expression, eventually attracting the interest of collectors. Ecary will present examples of these unique cards and guide us through their history and iconography.
