KUTIKUTI

Contemporary Finnish comics and their breeze of hope!

Kutikuti is a real driving force in the Finnish comics scene and beyond. It was established in Helsinki in 2005. Over the years, it has grown from an artistic collective into an association, but it has always been a pioneer in the field of contemporary Finnish comics. It is a platform bringing together more than 60 comics artists around Finland, promoting and cultivating comics as an art form. It publishes a free quarterly comics magazine called Kuti, organises exhibitions and other events, exports and promotes Finnish comics around the globe.

The DobraVaga Gallery will host the group exhibition Hope presenting selected works by Kutikuti artists. A workshop led by visiting Finnish guests will take place alongside the exhibition. At the Saturday fair at Kino Šiška, you will be able to listen to a presentation of the Slovenian translation of the Finnish comic book In the Shelter of Trees (V zavetju dreves, Aristej, 2023) by Sanna Hukkanen and Inkeri Aula, as well as browse the latest editions of Kuti.
