The Saturday comics fair traditionally culminates in the presentation of the Zlatirepec Awards, once again joined by the Sophie Castille Award for the best comic translation into Slovenian. This year’s jury comprises translator Julija Potrč Šavli, comic artist Gašper Rus, and critic Eva Ule, while the Sophie Castille Award will be presented by Wolfgang Hartl, co-founder of the Vienna-based publishing house Edition 5Haus. The awards ceremony will also feature a performance by French drawing virtuoso Edmond Baudoin, who will create live artwork to the musical accompaniment of improviser and multi-instrumentalist Samo Kutin.
