Comic artist and versatile creator Andrej Štular presents an exhibition at the Oton Župančič Library arising from his visual dialogue with the poetry of Srečko Kosovel. Štular translates Kosovel’s thoughts and poems into new images, associations, and rhythms that spill over from comics into other forms of depiction – drawings, collages, and photographs. Between word and image, an open space emerges for new meanings and interpretations, reviving the sharpness and relevance of Kosovel’s poetics in a contemporary way. The works featured in the exhibition were also published in the book Sharp Rhythms (Ostri ritmi, Stripburger/Forum Ljubljana, 2021).
