Kamishibai performance for children and families

Illustrator and comic artist Jure Engelsberger has been drawing since childhood, illustrating numerous books for children and young adults. His comic Death and the Shoemaker was published in Stripburger’s popular Folk Tales in Comics series – a dynamic, witty, and action-packed adaptation of the famous folk tale from Upper Carniola about a clever shoemaker who outsmarted Death. We will experience the story as a Kamishibai performance presented by the author himself, accompanied by several other tales from Slovenia’s rich folk heritage. He will also offer a glimpse into how he creates his illustrations and comics.
